I had truck plugged in for two hours inside shop, pull plug and fire it up. Started good, pulled out side and it shut down just like you turned it off. Tried to re start, no luck. Changed fuel filter and bump starter and no noise from lift pump. 32500 miles on it. Called dealer and had a wrecker pick it up. Keeping fingers cross until tomorrow to hear whats up:(

Just yesterday I was sitting at a stoplight and my truck just died. Get out check everything looks ok. A dodge dealer is 2 blocks away. Get it towed over there they call me at work later tell me it is out of fuel. I say well the fuel gauge sure isn't reading empty 1/4 tank plus. They check tell me its a bad sending unit. I go ahead and have them replace it and ask them to check the lift pump pressure since it is there as my gauge has been slowly but surely getting lower. Guy calls me tells me yep they are going to replace it. Says they have one in stock warranty will cover it. I asked you really have one in stock (after reading how many here have had to wait) he repeated yeah I will call later this afternoon for you to pick it up after we are finished. I am thinking all right not bad not going to have wait for it. Calls me back at 5pm tells me now they don't have one and that they are on national backorder 3-5 days to get one in and that is because he said he put the order in as truck down. Gee thanks for not making me wait even longer. I called the local Cummins place just for the heck of it sure enough they have one.

truck fixed

Truck was into dealer by 4;30 tuesday and I had it back by noon wednesday. It was the lift pump. Got a new one on and counting until it needs number 2:( The dealer was West Motors in Preston. Done me a good Job.

So many posts on the fuel pump and you still do not have a fuel pressure gauge on your truck or on order . ????????? Ron in Louisville KY :( :( :( :p
