Well Gang, here is the news and My THANKS TO GENE!!!!!

Gene and I have been in deep conversation about this for a while now and kinda leaked it a bit ago,but the deal has been finalized now and I now am the PROUD owner to his multi Muncie winning "Sled Puller" truck. He has sold it to me as a roller and is now in the process of readying the motor to be dropped into the NEW Sled Puller or "Sled Racer" drag truck as Gene has dubbed it all ready. Proram,Myself and Gene have been working on readying the "Sled Racer" since it was bought and its about to go for paint. I will now begin the search for a quality HP motor for the truck so it can be readied for Muncie. THANKS GENE for all the help getting the truck to my house and I am certain with your dedication, hard work and determination the Asphalt diesel warriors better take heed... ... ... . Andy

you mean we might actually get to see some of that great drag racing experience in action finally?? :D

Congrats on the truck if you actually did purchase it, being that this is April Fools day and all. I don't trust anybody today.

Ted

HA! Todays date is ironic, to say the least.

Perhaps , "A fool and his money are soon parted" fits here as well.

Just kidding Andy, you got a bargain.

Now the question is: whos engine are you going to run? Ohio, Indiana, or other?

Matt, do you have a problem with reading, or comprehending Hammers post? You'd have thought me selling all my extra pulling parts this winter, would have been a clue.

Gene: I read what Andy had to say and posed that rhetorical question in response.

The original truck was very successful - so I was eluding to how impressive the next project could be based on your track record.

B. .

Not sure why you are a Non-Believer,but,as he has stated already it was very obvious as he has been selling all the parts for pulling off it for months. This was a deal that happened because we each had what the other wanted. I had gotten my hands on a 98 12 valve automatic 2wd SB Quad, which is making a very nice street/drag rig for him and I got a way for me to pull without hurting my present ride. Worked for us,thats all that matters.

Gene. .

Glad you made it home safe and hope you finally dried out from the freaking monsoons we unloaded her in,sheesh. Ducks would have made out better than us. I only wish you and Hodges wouldn't had made such a mess for me to clean up in the engine bay, phew. Good luck on the new endeavor.

Motor looks like it will be done in house by me and Scott, with the machine work done locally. Why not try our hands at this deal,at least if we mess it up or delay the project we can only blame ourselves and don't have to wait to hear anyone else's stories why it wasn't finished. We will get the parts from the couple of shops that have served us well in the past and do the assembly on our own. Who knows, maybe we may find some power.

BTW. .

Thanks to Proram for the help in the rain today... ... ... Andy

Congrats Andy and Gene. From Hammers original post he said Gene was going to be a drag racer. I remember Gene talking about thsi before. I cant wait to see what both Gene, and Andy build,Im sure they will both do well.

wow I stand corrected, thanks andy, then the only sled pulling king left here is me... ... ..... winner by default

Congrats! I know that the sled pulling champion truck has found a great new home! i'm looking forward to seeing it in the near future. nick
