I can get this 98 QC 4WD 12 Valve for $6500+ transport.

Has a salvage title, & damage to right side.

No damage to drivers side.

deal or no deal?

I agree... I was watching that one too and I talked to my budy at the body shop about it. You'd be into what it's worth by the time your done, but it would still have a salvage title. Plus I can tell you from experience that every truck you buy on ebay is in worse condition than advertised. Better off just buying one that's all good.

All the 98 4wd QCs Ive seen were over $12K or total junk for about $8K.

I was thinking a junkyard fender, and lower bed side, slather bondo on the doors and get it inspected and on the road.

Being from PA scared me more than the body work.

My father bought a 2 yr old truck from up northin '02 and it looked good at the time, but now the frame is rusting to nothing. not a speck of rust on the body though.

We came out pretty good on our last salvage title repair, got a 5 yr old 4Runner limited for $6K, retail was $15K at that time, spent $2500 on parts and have put over 120K miles on it.

If it was a shortbed 5 speed I'd be on a plane to look at it.

Did you see the pile of parts that sold for $5400???

I keep finding good deals on crew cab 4wd 5 speed non computer '94 F-250/350 turbodiesels, several for less than $6500 that were nice trucks.

Its getting tempting! I just dont need a 22 foot long truck.

It might be worth it if you drive it till the wheels fall off. A PA truck with a salvage title is not worth premium in my book... .

plus paint and a thousand rattles and squeaks that you will probably never find.

Was it a rollover or did it slide into something? strange that the tires and wheels are not badly damaged... ... The bed looks severley tweaked.

It is repairable though... .

That would cost about $5K or $6K to fix in my neck of the woods. I would pass.

I payed $12K for my current 1995 3500 2wd 12 valve truck, it had 27K miles, no damage. It was priced high, but worth it to me after shopping for a year and about to go with a new one. It looked better than the 98's I was looking at. I would keep shopping.
