I took my truck in for routine service and front brake pads and the dealer suggested a "park alarm" safety retrofit that Dodge has. Well they did something wrong and they have to order a new gauge cluster and it will take several days to arrive. Seems none of my gauges work now. What could they have done wrong?

They probably screwed up flashing the cluster and ruined the programming. Or they shorted something out.

You are not the first one I have heard of loosing a gauge cluster when they do this flash.

I would not let them do the "Park Alarm" flash if they have not already done it. Chances are, it is already too late for that one. It is the most annoying things I have encountered about these trucks.

When my ***aler attempted to reflash for the intermittent check gages light, they zapped mine because they were not quite sure on the exact process on how to accomplish this feat. Wound up in a chevy gasser 1/2 ton for 2 weeks waiting for my truck to get a new dash! :{
