I got my used Cummins in July. 98. 5 24 valve SLT & I love it. Runs great. I noticed under the hood, a couple of of dealer stickers with a date and a code. I was just wondering if I could find out what the codes meant(recall, major problems ect. ect. ) I already went to the Dodge recall site and all I found was the latest recall info. No help with what I wanted to know. Any help would be appricated. Oo.

Sounds as if the ecm was reflashed. The dealer is required (by law I've read) to affix a sticker stating what was done. If you really want to know more about your truck, take the vin # to the parts counter and have them print a build sheet. This will tell you everything that was installed from the factory. Then go over to the service counter and have them print a service history for you. This will tell you what dealer service was done also. I did both of these and there was no charge... Good luck Phil

the dealer code is simple that,,,, each dealer is assigned a 5 number code by the factory to identify that dealership,,,, those sticker are for required by law after a reflash because it changes the emmissions control
