From what I have been told, a sharp tech will look at the connection points for a EZ and check for cleaner looking or "handled" connectors. Normally, these connectors have a uniform coating of road dirt and wash, but if you have "touched" and handled the connectors, it will show.

jhellmers;

I've been wondering about that... . say, next time you change the oil, save some of the old oil, add in a bunch of dust (from an old air-filter or lawn mower), maybe some light sand or dirt and paint it on the connection. Now, this will only work if you're like me and haven't washed the engine in many months, I guess the key would be to get it to be the same apperance as the grit around that area normally. Not that I would do such a thing :eek: , my dealer already pretty much knows the truck's BOMBed.

Just a little FYI for y'all out there.....

I don't take any of my stuff off!

Fellow Rammers:

My 02 is BOMBed and if I need to take it in for service, I will write a "do not exceed $75" on the service ticket in case a warranty issue arises. I'm prepared to be my own warranty station. I've had discussions with the service writers on my previous '00 Ram Cummins about my BOMBing. never had a problem, but then, I never had a claim relating to the fuel pumps, although I would bet money any major problem with my ISB would meet with no warranty coverage. Hopefully, I'll not have to find out, but I'm prepared if I do. If I suspect any serious problem, I'll take it to Cummins for service.

On a side note, my wife's '03 will stay bone stock except for gauges. Dodge will be my warranty station on her truck.
