Dealer fuel filter rip-off??

My dealer has been doing Oil/Lub on Cummins for $26. 95 since January. So they do my oil changes as long as they keep that price. On one oil change visit I ask if they could change the Fuel Filter while they were changing the oil? Sure for $89. 95 plus tax. I changed it myself.

Purolator also uses FleetGuard for CTD fuel filters... if you look the Purolator filter over it say "Stratapore" right on them.



Dodge makes more money on repairs (due to very high prices for parts and labor) than they do for the initial sale. They just stuck me with a $850 repair bill for something I was quoted $600 for... gotta love dealers.
