I have a 2000 truck with a 6 speed from the factory and I had a vp-44 repaced at the dealer about 40,000 miles ago

another vp-44 death at 97,000 ordered a new one dealer wont warranty because of pump wire tap lokking at pump that dealer installed and it has 235hp on the tag does this mean it is a standard output pump?

Can i install the eth 245 pump on my motor that is what i ordered. If not what is a option for a pump upgrade?

Why would you want to? The SO pump has more pumping capability than the HO pump. It would be a step backwards for you.

If you want to go hybrid on your motor, then go with a HRVP. Takes the best of both the HO and SO pumps and puts them together.

well now I have the 235 pump with electronics problems and a new eth pump what parts could I combine to make a better pump?

Don't think you should open em up and fiddle - takes a special test set to set it up.

Go read this thread for more details - toward the end a VP rebuilder comes into the discussion.

No, It will just spit and sputter and blow white smoke. Been there done that...

Just stick with a SO ETC pump.

Well what are the benefits of the hrvp? Does it add power by itself or does it allow you to add more fuel what are the limits of the stock etc vp?
