"Flow Thru" tailgates, Any good ????

Reading all the posts in the "How many tow with an Exhaust Brake", i saw alot of individuals who had the Jake Break installed at their local dodge dealer... . Just curious how much the cost was and how long it took... ... also, what kind of warranty is applied with it (100,000 ?), and if the truck has 65000 miles already, does the warranty start at that mileage?

I think my dealer wanted over $1100 installed. I bought it on-line and installed it myself (with the help of the TDR) for about 1/2 the price in about 4 - 6 hours, but I'm very fussy about quality and took my time. It's not a hard install at all for anyone that knows how to work simple automotive hand tools. I know that I did a better install than a mechanic getting paid flat rate.

I got a discounted price for the installed e-brake as part of the deal for the truck. The Jacobs e-brake is like any other dealer-installed Mopar accessory - it's covered by the same basic 3/36 warranty as the rest of the truck (one reason I went this route. )

If you are close to Ft. Worth, Mac's does super nice work and is a stocking BD warehouse. Should be less than $900 out the door installed... ... ... . tell'em I sent ya!;)
