What the heck is up with this:

I go to the dealer to get the updated software for the cold weather idle capabilities. I have in-hand a printout of the service bulletin itself. ( which clearly states that it applies to all trucks produced from 98. 5 to 2001; and my truck is a 2000). They tell me that DC says not to flash my ECM, that this bulletin does not apply to me, and that I already have all the latest, greatest updates. I had a my lift pump replaced in July under warranty and they did a reflash then. I tell them to read the top of the page where it plainly says that the bulletin came out on September 3rd. They say again that DC says I already have all the latest updates. I tell them to read the *#!%^" bulletin again and all they say is "Chrysler tells us what we can do and what we can't, and they say not to flash your truck".

WHAT THE *#%!^" IS THIS? I PAID $30,000 FOR A TRUCK AND THEY WON'T EVEN GIVE ME $15 WORTH OF SOFTWARE UPGRADES?

Does anyone have any bright ideas on how I can get that upgrade? I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks for any help and sorry for venting.

Sounds like the crap I got from Preston Dodge in Dallas when I tried to get them to flash the ECM for the intermittant stumble.

Those bozos would not flash until the problem happened in the house. These same bozos took 3 days to replace the lift pump.

I would find a better dealer.
