I had an interesting run in with one of my local dealers. They were going to perform TSB 21-009-01 on Monday. I called later that day and they said it would be ready on Tuesday or Wednesday. So I wait. I call on Tues, I get the service manager who outright tells me it ain't in the shop and most likely wouldn't get in until Wed. I remain patient, something the Navy taught me. I call today and he says they got it in the shop, but ain't touched it. Be ready on Friday, they were real busy working on a van. I told him I wanted my truck back and would give to him while I was on vacation, the time I had scheduled for a SBC clutch job. He asked if I had the clutch, I said yes. He said put it in the truck when I drop it off and they would take care of it free of charge, for jerking me around for 2 months. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the original tsb paperwork started on 9 APR. Ordered the parts 3 weeks later, then had to order tools. Finally got everything in and setup on 24 JUN.

Should I let 'em touch the clutch? He is aware that it is a SBC.

getting ready to retire from the same outfit you learned your patience from----don't think I would let anybody that Lied to me as many times as those guys did to touch my truck!!! I think you are just asking for trouble... ..... my 2 cents... ... ... ... . R, J. B. ;)
