Dealer refalsh changing things

I have seen a few posts that say when they take there truck in for service, the dealer reflashes something and then the user compains about poor fuel mileage or less power or something.



If the dealers can change the way the trucks perform, either power or MPG, then are there some aftermarket people that can take advantage of this and give us more HP and MPG without going to some box you must plug in.



Just wondering.

When the new computer driven trucks where introduced TST done the very thing you are asking and they were shut down from rewriteing the ECM real fast.
