Dealer said OK on the mods....

My dealer told me, plus he had the spec`s showing improved EGT - MPG for the following:



Cool Blue Hose

TAG-III

PSM cold air kit

Elimination muffler kit



The big plus is that these mods would NOT void my warranty! I told them again that I tow a 11,500 5ther, and they told me again that this system has lower EGT`s!

If I run the system with the Elimination kit, do I need any thing else? I read about "drone" here all the time. Should I be concerned about it?

what exactly is a "elimination kit", and a "CBH"?? are they messing with the fueling paramaters, or just with intake and exhaust? does the $750 include labor and the cost of the parts? need a little bit more info. thanks

I also ran the Cool Blue Hose, TAG, and PSM cold air kit past my dealer, it was a thumbs-up from them too. I installed them myself, took about an hour total - and that was with a few interruptions. Very easy install. As far as the elimination kit - I am assuming that you are looking at eliminating the muffler? I have not done that mod, but if I were to do the mod I would pick up the elimination pipe from Genos Garage, another easy install from all I have read. Probably someone here has posted something relative that you can check out. At least go to the dealership understanding the timeframe of labor and cost of the parts involved. You might be getting a good deal, or not?





By the way, I am NO mechanic, just able to follow the instructions, and also able to pick up the few tools needed for the job. It has been a rewarding experience doing the work myself.

With a elimination pipe inplace, does it increase drone if any?

yes the muffler delete pipe while make a drone but not to bad if you leave the cat. before i put the stacks on my truck i went to a big rig shop near by and bought a 4 in. piece of straight pipe and clamps to replace the cat and muffler for like 30 bucks and the pipe was like 6 or 7 feet long just my 2 cents

Excellent dealership.



Now do you trust the next dealership down the road away from home when you have to have warranty work done. Yah let all the "they have to prove the aftermarket part caused the problem", guys come on and say it. I have never seen any of them pay for the litigation costs.



Your truck, you pay for it, you do what you want to it, just be prepared to possiably be let down later.

That's what my dealer said until the CP3 needed replaced ! When they went to order a new one , DC got involved & cancelled my warranty ! It took 6 months to get it back !
