I wasn't sure how many of you out there have had the dealer calibrate your speedo after moving up in tire size ?.

Is it worth while?, I just recently bought the truck and put on a set of 315's.

The dealer said they won't be able to get the exact speedo reading but it would be fairly close.

The dealer told me when they hook it up to the computer and calibrate the speedo, it also adjusts the fuel air mixture setting aswell... . !?!

Any suggestions or comments / experience ?

Thanks !

Matt

The mechanic at my local dealer told me not to wory about reclibration. His oppinion was that it tended to messup other stuff. In his oppinion it was better to determine how much you speedo is off and just keep that in mind when driving.

I shecked my speed with friens following and at those "You are going XXXMPH" signs. Stock to 33" is about 10% difference.

Thanks T. S.

I have decided to probably just leave it as it is aswell. I was at the dealer on thursday and the service rep told me if it was his truck he would just leave it as it is, keeping in mind that your moving quicker than your speedo is showing.

Your estimate of 10% higher speed/mileage with your 33's sounds about right, by my calculations if figured I was probably a little under 15% higher with my 35's.

Thanks !
