Going to order a new truck and the dealer faxed me this build spec sheet but I'am not sure about a couple of things and he will not be back until monday.

O. K. the truck is a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT / TRX4 OFF ROAD / Sport (140. 5 in WB 6. 3 ft box) Model D18H41

Is this a combination of SLT, TRX4, and Sport?

Could someone explain it to me?

I have searched google, Yahoo, msn, and dodge websites trying to find a picture to see if I like the looks of this package but could find nothing so I'am turning to you guys, can someone help me find what this truck is suppose to look like?

The truck I want to order is a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT, QC, Cummins, G56, 4wd, SRW, shortbox.

Also I will be towing the camper in my signature, how will the 3500 SRW handle it.

Thanks in advance.

Amazing,I have spent 5 minutes searching the web and no decent pics of that pkg. I guess they want you to have to come down to the store to see it.

Bob

Thanks for the great responses.

Imagine that, I posted the same question on two free websites and got nothing but informational responses, no opinions, no sarcaziam. Makes me wonder why I even visit those other free websites when I can come here and pay money to get heckled.

Maybe this will help a little.

The TRX4 package is an offroad package that includes T-Case skidplate, upgraded shocks, tow hooks and fog lamps.

The Sport Package is an appearance package that gets you body color matched bumpers and grill, fold flat load floor, Sirius radio, Chrome clad aluminum wheels, cloth bucket seats, and leather wrapped steering wheel. You would also get fog lamps in this package.

The SLT package is the trim package. You get things like AM/FM/CD, Carpeted floors, electric windows/locks etc.

I'm sure there are options I am missing. I am guessing your salesman looked at the options you wanted and thought by combining these packages, would get the best deal? Either that or he is combining packages to get you into more than you wanted.

When you go to dodge.com and build your truck, when you click the sport option a pic comes up for you to see.

Hope that helps.

The "D18H41" does not mean SLT/Sport/ or TRX - it can be any other those.

The "CPOS" package is what does that:

2BG - SLT stick

2UG - SLT auto

etc,etc,etc

So you would want a D18H41,2BG, then the rest of the options:

I am guessing -- DSA, ADB,GPG, AM3(BIG HORN PACKAGE) - and so forth

This all is sorted out in the 2006 Dodge Truck guide. The dealer should have one.

the big things that jumps out is the Sport will give you Bucket seats with a center console if your getting an auto. Buy the manual and you can't get the buckets. (if you could, I would have gotten them). You might want to see a picture of these seats and console. There was a tread going around about them a couple months ago. People either hated them or loved them.

The thing that jumped out at me was that no cab configuration is mentioned on what the dealer wants to order you. As far as the new truck handling your fifth wheel, weight wise I see no problem. The shorter bed "may" present a problem but they make sliding hitches to overcome that.

Thanks guys, now thats what I call useful information.

Nate,

You need not reply to my threads anymore. Thank You.

Yeah, saying TRX4/Sport/SLT/PowerWagon in the title does not mean it has those packages.

My 06 is 'DH7H62 2006 Dodge RAM SLT / TRX4 OFF ROAD / SPORT / POWER WAGON (140. 5 in WB 8 ft Box)'

It is nothing but a plain SLT, no TRX4, no Sport, and obviously no Power Wagon.

Grunt, they don't mention cab config since it is implied by the combination of box length and wheelbase. 140. 5 with a 6. 3' box can only be a Quad cab.
