I went to the dealer today to "Discuss" what I wanted done on Monday(when I have an appointment). The a$$hole startred again with "Bring in the list when you drop off the truck". I said that will do almost no good at all, The recalls that I need fixed need parts and I also want you to reflash the ecm, can you do that I ask?? He is tottaly overwhelmed at this point as I am standing there with the TSB's and the recalls so he gets the manager, thank God. I ask him to run my vin and check if I have ALL the recals in my hand. He does it and says that I have done my homework, heres the kicker. I need recall # 966 "rear axle spring seat replacement", You know what he says, I know the susspense is killing you, he says" We dont have a lift to lift your truck and perform that recall". How the hell does a five star dealership not have a lift to raise a dually???????????? Wait it gets better,I ask can you reflash the ecm for the "low power in od" He reads the TSB THAT I BROUGHT HIM and says we dont have the bus cable to interface with the ecm, what a fnnnnn joke!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats sad.

When you can't even depend on your reliable, trustworthy, expert, dealer. Really, can't you find a different one close by.

Call Sunnyside in McHenry (unless that's where you went). Their diesel man is pretty good, and Paul (SM) has also been pretty good. They're usually fairly up-to-date. tell Paul what you need. And tell him I referred you. I used to live up that way and bought my truck there.

wow!!!!!!!

Sounds like you need to find yourself a new dealer!!!!!!! If I were to tell a customer a load of bull like that I would have to leave town. . "don`t have the correct cable to interface with the ecm!!" where the heck did they pull that one out of?? Any dealership will have that cable unless one of them happened to take it home to tie up the dog to the porch. . How would they perform any diagnostic work on anything with OBD2??

Too bad you live sooooo far away, I could use another customer.

Once again, do yourself a favor and find a new dealer you can trust. . Just my . 02
