Do we have any members in the Boston area ?

I was wondering if there was a really good dealership that a fellow might be able to trust his turbo-cruiser to if he were in the area.

Thanks.

Joe

I live 2 miles north of boston. I have YET to find a dealer worth anything. I'll list the ones to stay away from. Herb Chambers in Danvers, Burlington Dodge in Burlington, Motorquest Dodge in Melrose, and IRA Dodge in Medford. I have had dealings with all of them, and they could screw up a MatchBox car. Check out Fritz's site under surveys and dealers. I have posted lenghty descriptions of each dealer. I'm not difficult to please, but when a dealer tell me "the brake pedal is supposed to go to the floor" and "The transmission is supposed to skip 2nd gear" I realize that these people are idiots. Currently, when I need service, I drive 210 miles back to where I purchased it. They are a NON-5-SCREW dealer that actually relies on word of mouth advertising.

If you want a good wrench and you will be paying the bill (not a warranty issue) contact Massdiesel or Moparmuscle. They have a shop in Norfolk, Mass. easily accesable.

E-mail me if you want their phone number.

more info... ...

I bought mine at Herb Chambers in 1999, in Auburn, MA (rt. 20). At the time, there was a mechanic there who came from the diesel world. Seemed to know his stuff about these trucks, the motor, etc... he had owned a couple

I don't know if he's still there, and fortunately, I've never needed any major repairs.

there's also a big diesel/truck place about 1 mile west on rt. 20 from Herb Chambers (I don't know the name). looks like they would be good for engine overhauls, and that sort.

Just more info... . hopefully you don't need it.
