:{I can't believe I'm writing it, but my FANTASTIC '99 4x4 Cummins Dodge QC has been declared a Total Loss as the result of a nasty rear-end collision. I was stopped at a light and got hit by an Explorer going 40 that never touched the brakes. What's the matter?? Can't poeple see these 7000 lb. monsters when they are sitting still?!#@$%!

120,000 miles, 24 oil changes, lots of axle & gearbox fluid changes, God knows how many clay & wax jobs and 7 1/2 years of joy in driving have come to an end. :{

The up-side (he, he) is that 5 days later I am now the very proud owner of an '07 SRW 3500 Cummins powered, 6-Spd. manual, 4x4 QC Dodge Ram dressed in Crisatal-Black-Pearl clear-coat. Oo. Yahoo!!!

After just 1 day I am sure this is the beginning of another long Love Affair. And... I still get to hang around this great gang of people on TDR!

1. Glad to hear you're ok…

2. We can't blame Ford - they don't install the nut behind the wheel.

3. Congrats on your new ride and many more long miles down the road!

The mourning period didn't last very long. Glad your okay, that's the most important part. Even a Dodge/Cummins is indispensable.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I sometimes wonder what I would do if something ever happened to my truck. I have it just the way I want and have replaced all the lousy Chrysler components that required it. I love the Cummins, but after this Dodge truck and my wife's Durango, I would never own another Chrysler product again. Good luck with the '07.
