How do you react when someone spouts off complete baloney?

Prepare to be annoyed by GM (?)

I would rather see 1000 that deserve to die set free, than 1 innocent sent to his/her death. The number of innocent that have died at the order of a court are many, most people ignore this fact. I do believe that all will answer for their life in the here after. So if there is evidence for a conviction, then send them to jail for life, that is reversible if the facts later reveal that innocence is the case.

Ah, ya, so I guess let's just set them free to go about doing their criminal acts and let God sort them out later. Good idea.

..

What is confusing to you Chris? I mean the republican party claims to be so against abortion and church going people right? So i asked basically why do most if them have the stance they should fry these dudes?Doesn't that go against what the Bible says "Thou Shall not Kill"? But it's different when the shoe is on the other foot right? Yeah i do agree tax payer money pays for their stupid butts. . but. . that's a whole nother' issue.

funny thing is... is the people who are more than likely against abortion are Pro-death penalty  . . ?

I believe this way as well. I am pro death penalty and against abortion (unless certain criteria is met). I guess the child has yet do anything wrong, and deserves a chance to live, yet if he/she screws up as an adult..... pay the price. At least they had a chance at it...

The Bible teaches us to respect and obey the government, that evil should be punished, and that capital punishment is called for in some cases. To not follow the scripture would be against God's teachings and would be wrong. Biblical principles are unchanging and should not be questioned by the current political trends of the time. There are many scriptures that cannot be justified by human reasoning. Those of us of faith accept these teachings anyway. You will find that we also have the same convictions today that we had 30, 100, or 1000 years ago because we base our convictions on something more permanent than the current political and social trends. My thoughts will seem just downright stupid to many non-believers, but to people of faith, they are as logical as the sun rising in the morning.

I guess you didn't read the part "than 1 innocent sent to his/her death" or "So if there is evidence for a conviction, then send them to jail for life, that is reversible if the facts later reveal that innocence is the case. "

How would you feel if you're on death row for a crime you didn't do? Hot dang I'm on death row & I didn't do it! At least they're going to get some others that did do it!

Make it public viewing

Let the punishment fit the crime! Why make the tax payer have to pay to house a convicted low life. Bring back public executions the ultimate reality show for pay for view. Oo. :-laf

This isn't about republicans and democraps... There are good people on each side, but it seems as if you always try to throw it on the republicans for everything gone wrong. . Trust me, it's not solely republicans, its politicians as a whole who are corrupt! Just think about that.

Jesus was for the death penalty... he consented to hang on the cross... and he is all for love and forgivness, which also happens to be the reason he consented to hang on the cross. Harlan has it right... the death penalty transends political party lines.

Don't cry to me about some murderer being put to death. Their victim(s) didn't get to live out the rest of their life on the government's dime... . so they shouldn't either.

My favorite quote-

"Most states are trying to abolish the death penalty. My state is putting in an express lane" -Ron White

Right on! That is one of Ron's best lines. :D All the other states should follow suit.
