horse trailer blows the CTD fuses!

As a fellow gun advocate, and CCW holder, I ask that this not even be an issue in discussion. I ask this because it's not an issue.

If this fellow is planning to murder someone with a firearm, it matters not that he has a CCW. If he would break the law in homocide, then he would surely break the law in carrying a gun.

Therefore, him being a CCW holder has not placed your life in any further danger than if he weren't a CCW holder.

Further, i have a difficult time believing he's a CCW holder, with a mental record.

curatchko,

While it is true that the aggressor would likely be just as big a problem for OneBucsFan even if he didn't have a CCW permit, the fact that he does makes it very important to those of us law-abiding citizens who have CCW permits.

In most states, it took a lot of hard work to get CCW legislation approved. The papers, the police, the broadcast media all predicted "gloom, despair, and agony on me" if CCW passed - gunfights in the streets, blood in the gutters, commuters firing wildly from their cars in road rage - and they were ABSOLUTELY wrong. The media has of course not gone to much effort to point out that they were WRONG. However, in those rare cases where a CCW permit holder does something stupid or insane, the media trumpets it for days and gives the rest of us a huge black eye.

Accordingly, when a situation like this one pops up, it is very important to know that a CCW permit holder is involved. It may be a useful factor in getting the police or DA to do something BEFORE a tragedy occurs because they all seem to think that every CCW holder is just a crime waiting to happen  Sure it's a load of crapola, but if it helps OneBucsFan get some resolution to the situation GO FOR IT

Well, I finally got some help from the police... . Sort of. A friend of mines uncle is a constable :) Anyway, Jim (constable) won't tell me exactly what happened, but he assured me that I would not have any more problems out of this guy. I am sure whatever was done was legal  Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions everyone!! It is appreciated :D

I noticed that one piece of advice was rarely mentioned. If you know someone is out to get you, you need to become very alert to your surroundings. You must notice everything and everyone. Evaluate their intentions and if possible avoid confrontation. This state of mental alertness is extremely hard to maintain over a long period of time but it can be done. I am glad the situation has resolved itself without it escalating into a situation where someone got hurt.

I'm pretty much like this all the time.

Old boy scout motto: Be prepared.

kinda like different routes to work, different parking of the truck at home and work, different times to come and go, different lights on in the house during the evening, etc. , etc. , etc.

not paranoia, just don't get into a predictable pattern. besides, it keeps life interesting...
