Truck Looks great runs great except for the wobble after hitting a hole in the road usually around 45-55. Running 37's ko muds. Maybe tire balance issue??

It could be a tire balance issue but it's more likely an alignment or worn steering component issue. Check for worn ball joints, rod ends (tie rods and track bar), and control arm bushings. Have the alignment checked (at a GOOD alignment shop).

Have you had the truck aligned and reset the caster within spec, along with centering the steering and toein? Tire balance that is off starts "death wobble" like you describe, so make sure the tires are balanced and running true.

I'm running the 6" superlift with 37" tires and i put on the dual steering stabilizer shocks it definitly helped quit a bit. But didn't fix it completly. They have a problem with death wobble from factory so adding 6"s of lift and bigger tires is definitly going to add fuel to the fire. DAVE... Oh ya do you have any pics yet??

I didn't have the wobble before adding a 4" Superlift kit and don't have it afterwards. I also haven't aligned the front end yet. Weird how the wobble issue only effects certian trucks. It actually came out pretty well... doesn't pull and drives straight. I like the kit and don't regret installing it.

I asked the dealer to align the front end when I brought it back for A/C service and they said they don't do alignments there. I thought that was strange but ok...

Going to local shop later this week.

NJTaclkle ~ I see you keep your mileage. I'm curious what it will do after lift, compared with before.

How is the ride so far with the bilsteins? Is there a noticeable difference?

Dave ,I only have one stabilizer so far going to pick up another and appointment made for Friday far alignment. Going to rebalance again. Got a small wobble at around 65 seems to be balancing. No scanner for pics got pics in Wallmart developing right now. Aloha Ron

Mike ,A friend of mine said to set cam bolts at 3 o clockpassenger and 9o clock drivers side. Helped alot but still there. He said it moves the axle forward and it did. Dave try it on yours my wheels are almost dead center of fender opening. Noticed yours are a little back. Set cam bolts per instructions on lift instruction sheet. Aloha Ron

Big tires... . especially over 36" can be troublesome. Manufacturers have a difficult time making them round and true. Jack the axle up with the tire close to the ground and spin it. Watch the gap to see how out of round it might be. Do all four.

We have had this discussion a lot regarding Jeeps(The front axle is basically the same design, just the CTD's parts are bigger) with front end death wobble after a lift.

The answer was Caster, Caster, Caster, Caster, and Caster. So an alignment may help.

I have personally fixed one Jeeps(XJ) Death wobble by making the front Lower control arms longer. The other(ZJ) I tried everything(track bar, caster, steering ball joints) I could. I resorted to a new (and Heavier Duty) Steering Stabilizer. Which fixed the problem

I was told that a steering stabilizer will just mask the real problem, so you need to try to find that before just putting an extra steering Stabilizer on.

As I listed above, Ball joints, Track Bar, Drag link, all need to be checked for wear or play.
