Never had any problems with death wobble, last night it showed up, any thing over 50 mph it does it. So bad i cant even drive the truck! starting looking around this morning for something broke and found that the left caster adjustment marker is pointed forward about a 45 deg. angle and the right is pointing straight up and down. Anyone tell me about where it should be so i can try to get it to the alignment shop?

It should be straight forward if you have any lift. BUT my guess is you have worn ball joints and or loose track bar mounting, combine that with a lift AND incorrect caster is a recipe for the wobble.

one of them must have worked loose and shifted... I do have a 2" leveling kit but have never had the DW before. truck has never been aligned so i cant see it coming from the factory this way. I will try to move the right side to match the left and see if it helps any.

Coatesville? I live in the country about 10 miles north of you (between Wagontown and HoneyBrook. )

anyway, I was in the auto repair field for 14 years. now that I am out of it and don't have an alignment rack in my garage at home, I take all my alignment work to the Goodyear shop in Downingtown (below the high railroad bridge off 322, behind the Wawa. I really trust this guys alignment work, and they are not afraid to talk tech to the customers if you ask questions. Every Dodge I have ever owned has been in there at least once in its life!

I have heard of these adjusters moving. I have also heard of them ripping the cam apart on the washer side so they both point different directions (on the same bolt). Sometimes the replacment parts are on backorder so check this first, and have the parts before taking it into the shop.

It wouldn't have come that way but raising the front calls for max caster setting.

This simply brings caster back where it was before the lift. You still have something worn out for the wobble.

Thanks towpro! I know exactly where they are at. i will stop down there tonight if i can get out of work ontime. Both cams on each side do match each other. I moved the right to match the left 45 degree forward (RIGHT WAS LOOSE). gotta take it out and see if its any better. Thanks again!

Just to let everyone know that the caster adjustment bolt was loose and did move. I matched it as best as i could to the other side and no more death wobble. still going to get it aligned but add this to the list of things to look for when having "DEATH WOBBLE". Also just to add... . truck has never been off road or in an accident.
