I recently installed DT Pro Fab control arms, steering stabilizer, and trac bar upgrade along with new MOOG tie rod ends. I had it aligned and have tried to get it to do the DW. It steers like new and handles so much better. Also added airbags to it instead of overloads. This was a good investment and easy to install. I would suggest DT to anybody out there.

Glad you cured your DW but do have any idea what was actually wrong - bad tie rod ends, bad control arm bushings, bad track bar, etc?

Mine was "cured" with new tires. For about 6 months. Now it's coming back... maybe a balance, rotate, and pressure check is in order.

I found a bad tie rod end on the passenger side tire. The trac bar was loose even with Lukes Link and bushing. The control arm bushings were cracking but not horrible. Also I couldn't believe how much you could twist and move the control arms after they were off. I believe this is a combination deal and one wouldn't fix with out the other. I have went over Bumps and holes that would of set the DW into motion and can't get it to do it. Maybe it will come back but until then I am glad I invested the money into it. My boy will appreciate it too.

looking for better ride..

Hints on who makes the best trac bars for 96 2500 and where can i get the front link bars as well???... any sources? thanks

I just installed the '03 trackbar upgrade kit from solid steel last week. So far, this has made the biggest improvement in the front end. I still have some slop in the 4 turn steering box, but the truck now feels more stable, where before the install, it had more of a driving in mud feel going down the highway. Now I feel comfortable driving at the highway speeds. Next, the 3 turn steering box.

I found my upgrades on DT Pro Fab web site. It will show you pictures and details on the kits that I used. They have dealers and I used Ironsprings out of Arizona. Phone # is 928-778-0320 and speak with Nathan. He was easy to work with and had good knowledge of these products. Also to let you know that I replaced pretty much everything on the front and can't blame it on one certain thing although in my earlier reply I did find things wrong. I was told by the mechanic that re aligned it that it was the best road feel he has seen out of an older Dodge. That made me feel really good to know that. Good luck and if more info is needed let me know.
