I think I have the Death Wobble, however it has only occured intermittently while braking above 40mph. The tires oscillate violently from side to side shaking the h*ll out of the truck, the harder I brake the worse the oscillation and stops when I release the brakes. During my last trip it was so bad I had to use the trailer brakes to slow the truck. I replaced the track bar with the moog part and put on a Rancho SS. These items had no effect on the wobble. Reading through some of the other recent posts it appears that most people get the wobble as a result of hitting a bump in the road. It seems that my brakes are the cause of the wobble but otherwise I have smooth braking without pull. My truck has 23K miles, 75% solo, 25% towing.

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks

Glen

I have read that if the rotors are warped they could cause this as the breaks are applied. Maybe your brakes got real hot at one time and caused them to warp. Worth a check. :(

i know what you mean about violent shaking. mine was the opposite though,,hit the brakes to stop it. i was blaming it on the 2" front leveling kit and am still not sure what caused it. i rotated the tires and it stopped,,don't know what that had to do with it?? your's sounds like the rotors are warped. let me know what you find
