opened up this again as I am reconsidering the conversion.Heres something interesting( to me, you guys already probably know it);

the rear tire centerline dimension of a srw is the same as the between the tires centerline of a drw

What do you want to do that the 19.5 can not? I would trade, before bas-tar-dizing your truck that still has a placard with RGAWR of 7K and GVWR of 11,700, and is not easy to resale. You will need a Mega Cab dually bed, right?
 
heres a comparison with real numbers , blue measurement taken on my truck with 19.5" Rickson wheels and Dunlop 245/70/19.5's

I agree with SNO. As an previous owner of a SRW that I swapped into a DRW, people will not buy it afterwards. I had to pony up money to change it back to OEM before it sold. I made my money back selling the DRW parts though.

I dualled out my 01 2500 that had a Dana 80 in it, went to DMV and had title changed to a one ton 3500 , had no problems selling it
