With all the BOMBing combinations available, I'm having a tough time making up my frigg'n mind... I don't want to drop the cash now for a clutch or turbo and I don't want to buy upgrades twice How 'bout this... a DD UFM and DDII's. Can the DD UFM be backed off to save the clutch and lower EGT's until a time when the other stuff is purchased???

The DDUFM is adjustable with 5 power levels. If you dont tap the pump wire, I believe it acts basically like an EZ would.

So you should fine with the pump wire not tapped or just leave the DDUFM on the first level. But the temptation will be there!!:p

Good luck!

I don't have the DD UFM, but I do have a similar BOMB... a PE Comp. In my experience, you could get the DD UFM (or PE Comp, whichever you prefer) and not hook up the pump wire and be fine on the clutch and EGT's. Heck, my EGT's went DOWN from stock with the PE Comp on level 1. I put on a Scotty II for good measure and am really happy with it. With that said, I can slip my clutch under full throttle on any setting 2 on my Comp, so I'm saving my pennies for a Southbend Con OFE.

Sorry I can't comment on the DDII's... other than I want a set too. I understand that the combo of DDII's and fueling/boost box just might cause you to have to "invest" in a freer flowing air filter and a Southbend Con OFE to be able to reliably use the power you want without generating too much heat either in the engine or the transmission.
