I have never had a lot of success using the magnet but it slides of the nozzle and then you can put the end of the nozzle in you fill spout. It doesn't allow you to put it as far in but it is far enough to allow you to fill at a rapid speed. I know others on here will bash me but I run my truck till the DEF low light comes on and then I add two 2.5 gallon jugs that I buy from Sams, Walmart or Amazon. The jugs come with a hose with an air vent and I can turn those jugs upside and fill the truck as fast as physics allows. I never overfill and have a mess if I wait till light comes on. Remember the light is the first warning the second warning is when it starts counting down from 250 miles till it limits your speed. I find it hard to believe in my travels that I would ever be within 250 miles of where I could find DEF. Many claim that the way I do it is a recipe for failure cause I never know of the quality of my DEF it could be bad and putting it in my truck with so little in the tank could cause system failure. I say that is hog wash If the chance for that happen was is great as others would have you believe then we would be seeing infomercials with lawyers for class action suits against DEF manufactures. Now if I bought DEF and carried it around in the back of the truck for several months in the summer, yes I can see me having problems. If you are concerned about how fresh your DEF your buying is look at the date on the box.
