DEF tank pump out

Has any one pumped out the old fluid from their def tank? Is it possible to insert a hose thru the filler opening or is their a check valve in the fill tube? It looks like a major project if you must remove the tank to do this.

Best method is to remove tank and clean it up.

sag2 Thank you for the reply. Could you or anyone else give me any advice on buying a refractometer to test the urea? Is the thextontools 108 geno's has okay to use?

If it is from GENOS I would say it is a good product.

Watched a video on Utube where he removed the hose at the bottom of the tank inserted a smaller hose into the tank and siphoned *it out.

Yeah. The whole tank likely needs cleaned. But rinse generously with Dionized H2O after cleaning.
