MinoTruck said:lightbar has a bolted on steel reinforcement from both brackets. i'd believe it's 1/4 inch thick plate. everything is powderpainted and grade 8 hardware.
I picked chose red powderpoaint to blend with factory paint. I also chose how many tabs i wanted for my lights. I had them weld three tabs for the 10" lightforce 240 HID's.
Again strenght and quality is what caught my eye and if i sell the truck, everything comes right off leaving no trace i ever had such setup.
Oo.

Bob4x4 said:No... ... ... the Ellis bar uses flat stock for the mounting, where the Defiant uses tubing. The tubing style makes it much stronger.

How many ways can a bar be bent to fit on the same chassie? There were light bars available before this decade and the decade before it. The wheel isn't new, shocks have been around for quite some time, leaf springs were here with the cart and buggy guys. They've all had improvements and and leap frogs in technology along the way.
They both look like sturdy products.

Bar is bolted to a frame mounted assembly that attaches from each bumper mount. dont remeber exact weight of frame mount but its sturdy enough to attach a tow rope and drag a stuck ford or chevy![]()
