"Kinda sad, wasn't always this way on the TDR. "
YUP - usually, members can be adult enough to recognize responses addressed to an ISSUE, and then be able to comprehend the difference between a personal attack, and a commentary intended to either add to a discussion, or perhaps disagree with a specific solution - all WITHOUT the juvenile need to resort to over-reacting by immediately attacking those with whom they disagree.
You may disagree with me and my opinions as much as you choose (happens all the time!) - especially helpful if you supply additional FACTS on the issue in question - but immediately resorting to personally attacking ME will get you the same in defensive response from me EVERY TIME!
This thread started with a question about a box displaying the tendency to defuel above 85 mph - you helpfully offered a suggestion/solution that worked satisfactorily for YOU...
I then pointed out a weakness in that "solution", and questuioned why a buyer (NOT you personally!) should be faced with the NEED to pay good money for a product - then have to re-engineer it to make it operate properly - I did this TOTALLY without the need to abuse YOU, or anyone else involved in this thread - I was addressing an ISSUE, NOT a personality! And the "smilies" I attached were NOT aimed at YOU - but at the SITUATION!
THe fact that YOU can't differentiate between an honestly offered and non-personal opinion, and a direct personal attack is YOUR failing - not MINE!
Yeah - this CAN be a better place - if a few of the members can grow to recognize the difference between an honest difference of opinion, and a juvenile, needless personal attack - and THEN respond maturely.
And yeah - *I* am done here as well...
My apologies to those with nothing better to do than follow this BS...
