When trying to get the truck to build boost this weekend it would only go to 9 lbs then defuel to 5, then back up to 9lbs. My question is, why would it do it now when before I could get it up to 25 lbs no problem. I have a larger charger, and bigger injectors than before, but they are not that much larger. Is the BD RAD the cure for this? The trucks a 2001 auto. The odd thing is before i could get over 20, now I cant get 10.

I had the exact same symptoms on my truck 2 years ago. I found that my adjustable boost elbow had lost the set screw and was therefore letting the wastegate open at ~15 PSI. I changed it out for a non-adjustable boost elbow, I can get 45 PSI again :D

Definetely a boost leak, I get about 40#'s with the box on kill, and I blew the intercooler line, all I could get was 5#'s on the way home to fix... .

I'm sorry I wasnt clear. I meant trying to build boost while standing on the brake. Like for drag racing or sled pulling. Going down the road I can hit 50 lbs with the hx55.

Actually it is not the same thing as the drag comp. The drag comp allows fueling above 2600 rpm, the R. A. D. keeps it from de-fueling through the first two gears.

It is after I added the drag comp that I needed the R. A. D. When I just had the regular comp I did not have de-fueling through 1st and 2nd gear and I could spool up at the light. After the drag comp I could not get the thing to spool up and would "cut out" through the fist two gears.
