I think Steve did win, but it was mostly because he played chicken with the wall better than Chad Davis, that place seems like an accident waiting to happen!

Track was really soft. When you have to haul all the dirt inside a building you will have that. I think the cut tires that Stolzfus was running helped him as much as anything. Chad Davis, Steve Stolzfus and Jeremy Straley all had full pulls. I think jeremy choose not to come back because his first pull was a very long one time wise. He chewed up six inch ruts for about 130 ft down the track because of how soft the track was. I thought it was going to dig down to the concreate there for a second as fast as the tires were screaming. It looked very good for a single charged street class truck. My friend took video of all the trucks on his digital camera but could not get all of jeremys on it because his camera only takes 30 sec video clips. I had fun riding in Michaels dmax. It was going good until the hitch broke and dropped the sled down. A lot of people said they didn't know a duramax could make that much smoke but you got to remember these duramaxs are still just running stock turbos. I'm sure that will be different by muncie. Hey guys-

Nice pull this weekend... and if you noticed when the announcer was asking who came to watch what, the diesel pickups were unanimously the big draw for the show. Maybe next year they'll make it a real class!

Little hokey with the "floating finish" that really wasn't floating - needed to clarify that 200ft was a full pull so you guys didn't have to test your marbles with the straw bales.

I should have ran in the pull off but with the cherry red exhaust manifold and downpipe I elected not too. Now that I've had time to think about it, I would have launched at a much lower RPM than I did for the first hook. If I can figure out how to get video on here I'll get mine on here and the fire coming out of my stacks. Yep I said FIRE, both stacks had flames about 8-10 inches tall for a while down the track. It took me 27 seconds to make it 224ft and 10 inches down the track. I used approiximately 1/8 of a tank of fuel.

Track wasn't the greatest. So soft/wet that the sled couldn't get traction to back up. Can't wait for the season to start.

I missed the flames, looking forward to the video. Nice running truck!

Kyle,

Let jeremy know how to put his video on here so i dont have to sit at my desk and watch a dmax pull all night. If i keep watching this video i might have to go get one. :D Matt

the winner steve as mfunderburgh said the discripton of his truck was correct. he lives around the lewisbug area in PA. he comes and pulls at a lot of the local pulling events that have mostly tractor pulls but also have a class for pickups. Some of you heavy hitters from ohio and surrounding states should come to the local events some time if you get a chance. i can post dates and times when it gets closer to summer if you want me too.

P. S. Can anyone post movies of the pulls?

i think the announcer said the 94 maroon reg. cab had twins and plenty of fuel to spool them. it was nice to see a truck pull, but i thought there would have been a bigger turn out for the diesel trucks? why didn't they add more weight to the sled for the pull off instead of saying who ever hit the straw bails won?
