Hey guys, I've been reading these forums for over a year but I just recently joined. I have to say there is lots of information available from many individuals and I hope I can get some help.

Here's my problem, I took my truck to the track on wed. night and proceeded to make a couple passes. The truck is a 2001 Qcab auto 4x4 with 4:10 gears, an hx35 from an HO truck, 275 rv injectors, an Edge comp drag and a magnaflow 4" exhaust. Anyways the trans took a long time to shift into OD and hung in 3rd gear too long, at least I think it was too long, I'd say probably was at 3200 rpm for almost 2 seconds before it shifted to 4th. I'm thinking that if I could make it shift into 4th sooner I could improve my time considerably. As it was it ran a 14. 38@91mph. Nothing special compared to some of the rigs that I've read about on here but better than the 15 flat that I figured it would run and better than the 15. 28 that my old powerstroke '99 used to run plus it was hot and humid. So... any thoughts?? Oh yeah forgot to mention it also has a ProTorque torque converter and some valve body mods that I had a local shop here install. Thanks for the replies

i would try a APPS reset, and if that don't fix it then it sounds like a new trans is in order

mine did the same until i made the call to DTT and ordered a new one

I'd say your govener solinoid is bad. You pressure would high in 3rd and the sol. might not be able to let off for the shift. Just another guess..... Might call Bill or Stephen at DTT. They usually answer questions related to the 47re. Just leave a # and wait, they get busy. Mike
