Could somebody please tell me why my post was deleted about 21st Century Insurance? I got notified that somebody responded but nobody notified me that I had violated any rules.

Nope, the one I am talking about had been responded to by thejeepdude:

I have 21st Century, and after reading that entire website, I'm not convinced to go cancel. While the whole ordeal may be a mess, and certainly things weren't handled ideally... who drives a Jag and then puts the rental expenses on a credit card with 17% interest and expects to get reimbursed for it? I bet you can find incidents like this with every insurance company out there.

I removed it because it has nothing to do with the 3rd gen trucks. It might show up in the "Other" forum if deemed appropriate.

"Deemed appropriate"? Alright I will remember that in the future. Guess a polite, friendly warning wasn't necessary then. Times have changed.

Not debating removing it; that is the perogative of the forum managers and owners. You could have moved it with a redirect. You should have sent the poster a PM telling them it was removed and why. I DO think your reply in this matter strikes me as being less than professional. If it is deleted, say so. I don't think any of us pay our dues to be talked down to in this manor or treated this way if an inadvertant mistake is made.

I agree - it should have been redirected, not removed.

I am glad that somebody else felt the same way I did. I understand if I shouldn't have placed it there. I don't have a problem following the rules. Just didn't appreciate the tone is all.

Sorry guys, I screwed up and stand corrected. Thanks.

I think it looks like an ugly an ugly situation that will probably end up involving litigation and I wanted the opinion of others before putting in the "Other" forum. (forgetting that it's only visible to members) I was hoping I would get an answer before it was missed.

There is a lot to read and stay on top of in here every day and I try to do my best with it. Sometimes my time is limited or cut short. I really try to be reasonable and fair but sometimes things get missed. If it seems like I'm not applying the rules fairly, or you question anything, please PM or email me. I'm not an egomaniac or a computer geek on a power trip. I'm just another guy with a truck that likes the TDR and all it offers.

There is a thread on it in the Other forum.

this is one of the reasons I will not be renewing my subscription.

Edits and such with no notification.

Think of it this way. You were notified when you agreed to subscribe. You read the Terms Of Service..... or did you? How many threads do you keep up with. These People keep up with THOUSANDS! On a subject such as was above, more than one moderator needed to be involved. Have you ever tried to get ahold of someone and couldn't? Sometimes communication takes time. It got moved, no big deal. If it would have been deleted, I'm sure he would have told him. NOTHING on this forum is life or death. Nothing HAS to be addressed within minutes. Step back and realize the Moderators do this on their own time! Some (most) have familes, and are just as busy as you or I. They read about subjects that they really don't care about, but HAVE to in order to keep the site as clean as possible.

Man I'm sick of people complaining about the smallist thing and threatening(ok following through) with not renewing. I wish you luck on finding another Cummins resource as top notch as this.

My opinion, like everything else..... If you don't like it leave. I'm not gonna stop you. But keep in mind the next time you need something on this Forum, why you left, and why you are back.

OK... sorry about the rant guys... . Just my opinion... . take it for what it is.

When you say we all agreed to the rules, you miss the fact that those of us who signed up through the mail ( I had a flyer ) had NO information as to the website

or any of it's restrictions, the website came with the membership. Some of us come to find out about these problems later.

its all good, we agreed to the rules.

I am putting a message to bighammer now.

but what concerns me is I did not know I did anything wrong, not even a note that it was done. From that, I could change my actions. If I don't know, then I cant change my actions.

I would also rather have a post deleted and notified, rather than it edited.

Just My Humble Opinion

I should not of even said anything, I am not upset or have my feathers in a bunch.

It will all work out in the end

Hey no problem there... . I just think a bit more time would have been a good way to handle this. Communication takes time.

I wasn't aiming anything at anyone. This happens WAY to much in my opinion.

As far as "when I signed up. " You got a screen name didn't ya? When you filled out all that information..... in there was a little box that said "Terms and Conditions" (as I recall) You could have clicked on those terms and conditions... . no one does, but they are there none-the-less. The Rules are also posted if your interested. It's not a secret. "Site Features" then scroll down to "Site Guidelines. "

I apologize to anyone that has taken this personal. It was aimed at the General public. To many people with... . as was posted above "thin skin" have rubbed me the wrong way.

I honestly think if you want to see deleted posts, hop over the www.thedieselstop.com or www.dieseltruckresource.com In those places, I would probably have been deleted, warned, and probably with this post... . deleted from those sites!
