im in the middle of changing out the lifter cover gasket on my truck, got the pump off today, and replaced the gasket on the cover, i was reading the timing instructions and instructions say to replace copper washer under the delivery valve when taken off, i cant get my hands on a washer untill at least thursday, my question is it safe to go ahead and reuse the old copper washer, or will that come back to haunt me with problems. thanks for any info guys.

bmoller - that is interesting, the timing instructions on fritz's tech page say to replace the washer, yet they do not mention if that if it is for a sepcific year(s), i guess i can pull the DV and see if there is a washer under there, if not ill just procede as normal.

96-98's definitely don't have the copper washers. I read before that only 160 pumps had them, well to my surprise my 175 pump had the copper washers in! But definitely 96-98's don't have them, I bought 181 DV's from a 97 and didn't put the copper washers back in. Trucks runs great, smooth, and no leaks.

Wildmanben- The O-rings are on all the pumps, thats only a dust seal that goes at the top of the threads of the barrel.
