Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Delivery Valve Guru's???

I just installed 191's this past weekend... i like the extra 40 horse or so they put down... i took the stock ones out and they have th number #'167' on them. . their out of a 160 truck... i want to have them Lathe cut WAYY beyond the 191 flow rate?? can anyone give me specs on how much to cut them and what part of the d'valve do you cut... ... how about running without delivery valves?

Can't help you on alteration specs, but you can't run without delivery valves. They are basically a check valve to keep your lines full for accurate injection.

You CAN run without DV's. We did it on Cord's truck as an experiment several months ago. You lose a ton of power though.



You aren't going to gain much if ANY power with the custom delivery valves. You WILL get more smoke though.

not much more power? you get at least 40 more by cutting stocker type 131's than you will by using 191's

if you can build me a set of delivery valves that give my truck 40 MORE HP than stock 191's, I'll buy a set. No, I'll buy two sets.



I'll dyno them back to back changing nothing else and use a dynojet dyno. I'll pay you $1000 dollars if your statement is true.



If not you pay for my time and dyno fees. You willing to back that up? I've ground delivery vavles and tested them before. I know how long it takes and this is a good opportunity for you to make some quick cash. I'd love the extra 40 HP.

WOW, i see the stew brewing right now behind Adam's ears ... ..... what a challenge, hey dude. . that'll pay for some of the mods eh? Strick9: I've seen these d'valves in action man... cut at least half a second off the times on a 94' . . he's right
