Can I reuse the DV washer when timing the pump or do I need to put a new one in?

if it doesnt tear when you pull it you are OK to reuse.



clean the area real good before you start. place a little WD40 or equivelant on the holder threads before removing it to lube the seal as it comes out.



remember, just before you get to the top of the threads blow off the DV holder again to get rid any debris that comes off the socket and threads. tilt the holder slightly outboard and prepare to catch the spring as you pull it off.

You are refering to the Oring ... . he was asking about the washer ... which is actually a gasket ... and yes . . you can reuse the washer as long as you don't bend it up ... ... .
