I'm going to try some different Dv's and was wanting to know some more about them... . I know that there is 191's, . 022, and laser cut's... has anyone tried all of them? what do you think? I have a 215 hp pump that has been worked over.

Lucas

So who all sells Dv's... . I know piers does anyone else? are all laser cut dv's the same or are they different from vender to vender?

Got smoke do you know what jr's number is?

Lucas

if you want laser cuts you can cut your stock ones they are no different than the laser cuts you pay 250 bux for. with my set up running 191s smoke is ridiculous and will peg my 1600 pyro at WOT at about 75 mph the LCs deffinately have more seat of the pants power but smoke is just insane (which i dont mind)

So what's the difference in size between a auto DV and stick DV in a 96-98 P7100? Anyone with an auto try stick DV's? How's the smoke?

I need the same kind of advice

Was wondering what you guys think what size DV's I need for my truck?

I will be wanting to throw out some black smoke, but can be controllable. I will be at the track too some, and also want to be able to tow quiet a bit. Guess I need an all-around DV. I have ran a search and it looks like the 191's will be alright. I have a 175 Pump. Can anyone suggest the 191 or what do you think?

I just installed 191's with Piers 370's and I can bury the pyro very quickly. With a moderate throttle, I can keep the EGT's in check. I think you guys fortunate enough to have the 215 pump will have severe overkill with anything above the 022 dv's and will be too much without significant airflow upgrades.

Lucas, given your upgraded turbo, you might be able to use 022's. 191's may not be enough and laser cuts may be too much. Maybe one of the more "seasoned" tuners will chime in.

Aw screw it, go with the laser cuts!! If you go too big, that can justify a bigger turbo or twins!!! Same for you Blackwell.

I tried and dyno'ed 181's (stock), 191s, and DonM cut DV's. The 181s dynoed the highest with the 215 hp pump. Some of those who sell DV's or love smoke will assure you that the others are "better".

i just had all my new bombs put on, one of which were the 191 high flow delivery valves. big difference.

Well I ordered a set of JR Adkin's Laser Cut's today, I would like to see what they will do in my pump. I’m going to try and find a dyno close by to do a before and after run of the laser cut’s. I will post what my findings are with laser cut’s.

I would be interested in your findings.....

This is just one on my long list of upgrades next year! Oo.

Well I have been told anywhere from -12 to +90 hp... ... That is a big gap... ... Guess i will just have to find out for myself.

Lucas

Going to bigger DV's also depends allot on the pump and injector used and some respond well and some don't, it also depends on who's DV's you use, yes I've some bad ones and I have used some good ones, 181's, . 022's and cuts.
