I'm looking at getting a set of 370's in my 96. Will I need to add delivery valves also? I've done a search but can't really find an answer.

Thanks,

Lonnie

Delivery Valves

You will not have to install delivery valves with your 5-speed pump will have the bigger delivery valves in it already.

I put 370s in my truck with stock delivery valves and never had a stumble at any rpm, even when trying to induce one by driving around between 1200 and 1500 rpm.

Mine has 181's in it from the factory and it has the stumble in it, funny thing is I'm thinking now that I might have a bad DV, the reason I say that is I had a slight stumble before the injectors if you were in just the right parameter and it was almost unnoticeable but if you were sitting at idle and brought the RPM's up to 1200-1300 it felt like something was out of balance ever so slightly, now of course it is more definite. I have played with the Governor springs enough now that I have ruled them out of the equation.

Seems to vary from pump to pump. Some stumble others dont. Some only stumble a little others pretty bad. Some claim its only older automatics with 131 or 151 DV's that stumble. Yet there are others like Jim or myself that have autos with 181 DV's and had stumble. Mine was bad, so I pulled the 370's and installed 215 injectors.

Now I have 191 DV's with those 215 injectors and say who cares if it stumbles or not. Get them. I may go to 370's later but I am happy for now.
