IS THIS A DO IT YOUR SELF JOB OR LEAVE IT TO THE PRO'S? I AM THINKING ABOUT INSTALLING A SET OF 191 DV IN MY 913 PUMP.

nice difference! You will love them! they are about a ½ hour to an hour to get installed... . nothing out of the norm!

delivery valve swap

Is the any other special tools needed besides the splined socket for changing the dv's?

One thing to watch for, and those that have changed them or pulled them for what ever reason will probably back me up on this. WATCH FOR THE SPRING AND BANGO PIN inside, meaning make damn sure you install them in the right way. This was learned the hard way not to long ago. Thank fully a spare P-pump was sitting there for parts. . LOL. . but just thought I would throw that in there.

Other than that it is so easy its almost scarry. . one of those you second guess whether or not you did it right... LOL

191 Delivery Valves

Will 191 dv's help low end turbo spoolup? Will they make the truck run smoother from 900 to 1200rpm?

I thought the '96 - '98 manual transmission trucks already had a 215hp pump with . 191 delivery valves--is that not the case?

Just a curious 1st gen owner...
