delo 400 Le?

i finally found some delo oil at costco since walmart quit carrying it but it says low emmisions (LE) how is this differnt from the regular stuff and is it ok to use in an 05?

If it is a CI-4 oil, it will run perfectly fine in your '05. CJ-4 oil is the newer, low emission stuff, and it is made for the new 2007+ trucks. CJ-4 is OK to run in your '05 as well. From what I've heard, oil companies have had to compromise oil quality a little to meet the new CJ-4 standards, so the CI-4 stuff is preferred for 2006 and older trucks if you can still find it.

What blows me away is how much the DELO costs now! It was $32 for 6 gallons not too long ago, now it's right around $50 at Costco! OUCH! And no kiss first.

Ditto on that price! I got some last week. OTD was right on $59. 00 with tax and "sunshine state" disposal fee. It's $9. 99 at Kragen plus fees&tax. ouch!
