Power Steering Pump / Vacuum Pump Conversion

Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) No shift

That's a small price to pay for the perfect box.
I'm so happy since I installed that box in my Gen.3, it's a whole new vehicle, all of a sudden a steering that behaves like a steering should behave in a modern vehicle.
Of course combined with the Thuren alignment over the factory garbage specs.

What did you have to modify to make that PSC box work? Thinking of getting one myself, but really unclear how much needs modified? Shorten the drag link maybe? Anything else?

Call Genos, they are happy to help.
From what it is on the Genos website it is only the drag link that needs to be shortened 1/2" with an angle grinder.

I've a Gen3 and did the so called 2008 upgrade which gives that steering gear, a different pitman arm and whole new linkage.

I have a T style steering linkage from Bad Axe Steering, but stock pitman arm and so far stock steering gear. Also have a Thuren track bar so a few things non standard. Shortening the drag link can be done, but probably very few if any other 2nd gens have exactly what I have going on since Bad Axe has only sold about three of their linkages to 2nd gens, they actually market it as a 3rd gen setup.

I’m not scared of the grinder but when steering components are involved it worries me

@SAndreasen, You could have the "dreaded" double lock nut style that they want to weld that then prevents you from being able to do a proper alignment! Even independent shops won't touch the drag link if not welded! Ask me how I know that one.
