Denso Alternator PN for 220 amp

I just recieved my 2010 3500 C&C that I ordered. It apears that the guys in Mexico are leaving things off. I ordered the truck with the front hood protection shield, it was not installed on the truck or in the truck. I ordered the trailer brake controller harness, not in the truck. I ordered the Snow plow Prep Package whick is to have a skid plate, none was installed. I ordered the Ambulance prep package with the 220 amp alternator. The alternator on the truck looks the same as a 136 (std) or 160 (snow plow prep) unit. It is hard for me to believe that such a tiny alternator can put out 220 amps. Does anyone have a truck with a 220 amp alternator? Do you have the numbers from the Denso tag?



Everything I ordered showed up on the sticker it just did not make it on the truck. The dealer is making good on everything so far but it is getting to be a pain. Guys check your truck over an make sure that you get everything that is on the sticker.

I have the 220 amp alt on my '09 4500. I'll check tommorrow and let you know.

I have seen brand new Rams being unloaded from car carriers with the hood protection shield installed. The skid plate is not dealer installed if it is ordered and on the sticker. I looked at several other trucks on the lot and all trucks with the snow plow prep on the sticker had the skid plate. The trailer brake harness is shipped loose and normally found in a door pocket or glove box.

Thanks Wiredawg. Any help would be apreciated. The alternator looks small for 220 amp. There does not look like there is much room for a larger one due to the coolant pipe coming up to the EGR cooler. The tag, looking at the alternator from the fron is at the 7-8 o'clock position on mine. I had to use a mirror to read.

I looked today, but could not see even manufacturer on mine. Not sure of other alt configurations, but mine does have an alt power dist panel and came w/three large fuses to activate wiring in harnesses on the frame. Sorry couldn't be more help. Maybe there is a tag between the alt and engine, but I couln't see it.



Does yours have a tag on it?

What about the size of the alternator? How does it compare to the alternators on your other trucks? The power distribution kit is on the drivers side near the firewall, correct? This should come with all C&C regardless of alternator size. At least this is what I can tell from the documetation that I have read. The fuses for this come in upfitter kit PN 68032517AB which should have been in the truck when you received it.

Thje alt is not larger than the other trucks. I did get the accessory pkg. Not sure how else to tell.
