Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Since it seems we are not going to get any DHRA races in Texas, there is a local group of guys trying to get something started. Right now they are in the process of getting all of their ducks in a row.
They are calling it the ODRA, Outlaw Diesel Racing Association.
I am in no way affiliated with the ODRA. I told them I would help spread the word as I enjoy being around other diesel fanatics. I am sure at some point I will be hit up for prizes and or prize money as I am local to all of this.
Right now this is strictly for fun, but they are planning on structuring the event in the future once they have an idea on who will show up. I am sure it will be some sort of bracket racing, and they talked to me about a handicap index. Right now it is just heads up for fun.

These are all 1/8 mile tracks so you should get a lot of runs and it should be a little easier on the trucks.
There are a lot of trucks already committed that do not surf the web. I know we have a ton of trucks in TX so we should have a big turn out. This will be a great time to meet a lot of people. It is also a good chance to get a lot of people together and see if they can come up with something structured for the future.
I can't believe we do not have any organized racing here in TX for the diesels, but maybe its because the state is too spread out?
