Desperate for Carrier Bearing Bracket

This is an addon for a thread I started on 21 Feb 20 for a Carrier Bearing Bracket. It is for a 1996 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually. The truck is a 5.9, Extended Cab, Long bed. Pictures of the Bracket are posted in the 21 Feb thread. We thought we were ready to go by having an aluminum single driveline manufactured; however, after tearing the truck apart so we could measure the driveline length, we were informed it was too long. So, we are back to finding a bracket. As far as I can tell, this bracket, which is a big chunk of streel, was only used on the 1995 & 96 trucks and some of the 1997.

Any information regarding this bracket or locating a junkyard bracket or new one is certainly appreciated. Mike Nicholson, Sequim, WA

Do a search, do you know if the V10 gasser has it in there? Could expand your search.

If you see trucks on that site just call the places.

Appreciate your reply. I'll check your recommendation out; however, I just got a call from the shop that is doing the work and they advised they had found it in a Colorado junk yard. Had to take the whole driveline, but that is no problem. They sent a photo of the bracket and it appears to be the right one. Hopefully, we'll have it in 2 or 3 days.

So it appears everyone can stand down, at least for now. Mike

We probably have one. We scrap trucks left and right. I just cut a carrier bearing out of a truck we made a short bed 3/4

Hi Charlie, I surely appreciate your reply. I'll see if the guys at the shop get this in from Colorado and if it is the right one. I'm going to go in and see them in the morning and see how it is going. One way or the other, I'll let you know. Mike
