Destroyed Head! What do I do?

I have had my head warp and give out on me for the third time. ATS is saying its time to buy a new one. Has anyone else have this happen to them? If so what were the causes of it? I dont run mine that hot for very long and I am not adding any timing but from my programmer. If you were to buy another head would it be the same 03. 5 or maybe a 05 head with the bigger valves. Then if you did a 05 would you go to even bigger valves? Would you port it any special way or do anything elsr to it?

Supposedly I am looking at about $3k for a new head fire ringed and ported again too!

I'd get opinions from other shops as to why this has happened to you 3 times.

Maybe it was a bad casting to begin with, I know in general when engines are manufactured sometimes they end up with a bunch of internal stress, which can manifest itself as warpage or cracking.

Maybe porting/bigger valves remove too much iron.

i would replace it sounds like you got a bad casting. If you decide to port and fire ring your head give me a call i port and polish cylinder heads.
