Does anyone know what the details are on the TRX4 off road package? I read some stuff, does not seem to really add anything new except maybe some colorful shocks and axle skidplates. Has anyone seen these axle skid plates in person? Do they look right, and do any good? I imagine it is a lame package when compared to the PowerWagon.

Kinda expensive for what you get IMO - $2590. 00

the day they put a cummins in the power wagon is the day I'll consider upgrading this 95, untill then, it just isn't worth it. I too was excited about this trx4 package, but what a let down it appears to be.

I hope you really like the ol' 95, because you're not likely to ever see the Cummins in the Power Wagon. And if you did, it wouldn't have the winch (it won't fit). Beyond that, what's so great about the PW, that you couldn't add to a normal Cummin's equipped truck?

Oh, and remember what the PWs cost? Add another 5-6 grand for the big C.

yeah, I hear ya. I guess I should start buying up 2nd gen spare bodies :-laf I guess I have just spent so many hours getting this truck to where I like it, that there'd have to be something special about the new ones for me to take it. It would be nice to already have the diff lockers and the swaybars seem nifty, that's about it. To top it all off, Cummins has gone and made their new engines quiet :{ What's this worls coming too ;)

I totally agree. This is my biggest complaint with the new trucks.

Well one thing, a big thing you can not do to a 03 and newer truck is lock up both axles. Un less ARB has come through on something.

How about that disconnect front sway bar, can you buy them? Plus the locker axles. But I think the difs that support the lockers are different then those that would come with the CTD?

I haven't looked to see if you can add the OE sway bar disconnect system to the Cummins equipped vehicle, but it may be possible. And since there aren't currently electronic lockers for our trucks, that would be another reason why you won't see the Cummins in a PW - the PW lockers probably can't handle the torque. So having said that, why would you want a PW with a Cummins that features lockers that can't handle the torque? Stepping it up in the sarcasm department, next someone will want a Toyota Tacoma (with the electronic lockers, of course) with the Cummins! :p At least it'll never run out of gas...

Or, someone would buy a Town & Country if it had a Cummins because of the available low-speed traction control system that uses the antilock brake system to detect slip and apply braking power to help the wheel regain traction. Hmm... We should have that feature on our trucks - there's no reason that I can think of why we can't (oh, and we'd have to have a switch to turn off the traction control system).

Honestly, how useful would a Power Wagon be if it had the Cummins weighing it down in front. If you're going off road that severly, that much weight is gonna destroy everything up front.

DISCLAIMER: I may not know what I'm talking about as I have never seen a PW in person nor have I taken my truck off road... ... ... much :-laf :-laf
