2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Deteriorated Float

The fuel gauge has been acting funny. Gauge reads empty when odometer (mileage) indicates that I should still have a half tank. Researched the posts, changed the sender in the fuel tank. Dodge part # 04797738. The plastic pivot (swing arm) was good. The float on the sender was deteriorated. About 1/4 of it was gone! Lifted the bed, the electrical connection at the tank was easy, but the fuel lines were troublesome.
