Well I think that I am going to have to buy a carrier for the rear axel and dont know which I want. I do not go 4 wheeling very often mainly on road driving but I do like to play in deep mud and in the winter I do drive in the snow. I tow a 27' 5th wheel toyhualer.

What are your thoughts?

Also what are your thoughts for the front axel?

Best of both worlds is an ARB air locking diff. Works as an open diff unlocked and a detroit locker locked.

A detroit locker is very stout and pretty much bullet proof but you will give up some driveability smoothness... ..... It will make your truck a one (experienced on ice) man truck on icy roads. Sneaky turbo boost and detroits= pay very careful attention on icy conditions.

Works well in the snow and offroad.

Truetrac is more driver friendly but offroad when you really need it it will slip.

JMO ... ... ... 4wheeled for 25 years and I would pick an ARB for onroad manners as well as offroad adaptability.

I have the Tru-Trac and seems to work perfectly. Exactly as advertised. I'm due for a fluid change soon, so I will inspect and report any abnormalities.

Both are excellent, and driver awareness is key, as stated above. One option to not overlook is the newer E-locker diffs. Electric controlled instead of air. All in all, it's a lot like what color truck is the best... . personally, I like the Detroit or a spool. But I also know to keep in mind what's up there and where I'm at, with what conditions I have to deal with.

I'm a locker fan. A limited slip will work well enough to get you into trouble, then won't get you out.
