Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Detroit Locker

Has anyone out there ran a detroit locker in the rear of their 2500 4x4? I am looking for first hand experience in driving situations ranging from around town unloaded, to highway towing, to offroading. What kind of additional tire wear could I expect? How will it act in long sweeping corners with a trailer on? Just the facts please.
